Oh… I didn’t realize that it would take almost 1/2 an hour just to update the Server List. Why so long? Sorry for the impatience. I’ve just been fighting this thing for a couple of days now.
I’ve already tested my opened ports with canyouseeme.org and my ports didn’t show up.
After extensive evaluation of my settings and verifying that everything is set as it should be, I stumbled upon a forum topic on Verizon Wireless (my current ISP). Apparently, it doesn’t matter what I do on my end. My server will NEVER be seen by outside users. VZW employs a server-side NAT Firewall which prevents any and all devices on its network from having their own static IP that others can see. VZW customers cannot change this unless they purchase a business account for $500 and bypass this NAT Firewall with their own static IP address. Since I’m not going to shell out that kind of money, my attempts for setting up this server have come to an end.
I am listing this here so that others who may have Verizon Wireless as their ISP might find a solution to why their ports aren’t being seen.
It’s not “my” firewall that’s causing the issue. Based on information I’ve read by others experiencing the same issue, the problem lies with the Verizon Wireless Network. My ISP is Verizon 4G LTE. They apparently have a provider-side NAT Firewall. It doesn’t matter what I do… the network firewall blocks others from connecting to me, even with port-forwarding.
