I have setup a FiveM server on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, and had a few questions regarding helping administrate the server.
I did read a comment, I don’t remember when it was posted, but it said that Linux was not officially supported with FiveM, is this still the case?
Now for some of the issues I have –
Anytime a client moves, I get a warning saying "A client tried to send an event of type es:updatePosition, but it was not greenlit for client invocation. You may need to call RegisterServerEvent from your script.
Any idea what could be causing this?
Also, is there anyway I can use the server console to issue commands? I think there was a GUI for Windows, but what about Ubuntu?
The only way you can use citizenfx on Linux is with mono (version 4.8). I think they’re working on getting the new server (fxserver) compatible with Linux systems but, I’m not too sure.
Ask the guy who made the script in the original thread.
AFAIK you can only achieve this with a Linux server by using a RCon client like IceCon on your main machine. Just connect via the rcon port and provide the password you set (both should be in the YML file)
