Ive tried several times to change my server hostname but it refuses to change at all. I have removed everything I added to the cfg and it still refuses to change. I have no clue where to start, every time I change it on the server.cfg it changes back when I load the server

show us your config? screenshots of your directories that the config file is in… and show us how you are starting the server.

i would contact zap hosting about this problem as it its likely to be an issue on there end.
and they have support for fivem aswell i’ve had problems and i contacted them and it solved my issues 
but i would try changing the hostname in both the server.cfg & their site panel for the server. i’ve never had this issue from them before although i don’t use them anymore i use Digital Ocean they have the best vps service for just $10 is what i have for ubuntu 16.04 server and followed the linux instructions with the DO VSFTP Setup for secure ftp!
But in your vision i would recommend contacting Zap Hosting @zaphosting
or email them @ support@zap-hosting.com

ive changed it on both with no luck, I sent a support ticket with no reply yet
they may take awhile you should get a response by either tommorow morning or early in the morning their currently offline.
also forgot they should send you an email as soon as they live chat reply back to you.
OK, I have work in the morning and wont be home until later in the afternoon. Hopefully I get something by then. Thanks for the help

if you want to have a custom entry in your server.cfg’s hostname value, you need to blank the input field “Servername” in our control panel. Go to “settings” to do so:
Easy as 1,2,3
