Server Growth Help

Hello all,
I know there is a lot of topics open regarding server growth but none of them really answer the questions I have to an extent that makes them useful.

I am a Lead Developer for a server but also work closely alongside the community directors to improve growth and make different strategy’s to improve population.
For you guys that run populated servers, could you consider taking some time to answer the following for me:

For starting out and getting a semi-decent population is it best to go for whistelisted or public server? And in the long term is is possible to switch to either one without majorly affecting population?

Apart from the obvious constant advertising on websites, forums and getting a trailer created what other methods do you use to gain members and what were the best tactics you used when trying to grow your server?

And finally, does boosting a FiveM server on the server list actually help the server grow even if it is whitelisted?

Thanks for reading, and Apologise if this topic is too similar to others, if that’s the case please let me know and I will flag for removal on my own terms!

You can use whistelisted for but you want scope and filter player (Ex. RolePlay,Story) Or you need to growth up but not scope in server player a lot and server down. it in your mind set you self and you want.

Sorry my English is not very strong. Please understand. Thank you,
And sorry my ideas may differ from others and some words may sound strange.

I had a buddy who had a server he was non-whitelisted only had us 10 friends online for weeks then he used Trackie Server (Spelling may be wrong) and his server hit 32 a night (max capacity at the time) the real problem is if you are wanting to actually have good roleplayers or a bunch of randoms some who are great…some not so. This goes on to say he whitelisted at the peak and everyone left aside like 15 - 20 of us who all got close because at this point the randoms could no longer freely come in nor did we have a whole application system set up. Hope this help a little.
