I have the same problem with 2 error codes:

Uncaught ReferenceError: $ is not defined

and

Uncaught ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined

and all the while I have the gun license menu in the middle, which doesn’t go away.

just join some server and leave it couple hours to load , my friend had same issue and fixed it by being afk in game
