What is the Focus of Rough Country Roleplay?

Rough Country Roleplay is a community driven server that prioritizes good quality, fun and unique roleplay. As a community, we strive to provide our players with a safe place to play. To hit this goal, we have a detailed rule book outlining our standards.

Rough Country Roleplay is a tight-knit community of experience roleplayers that prioritize immersion in a fun and exciting way. We have opportunities for all types of roleplayers such as criminals, lawmen, civilians, business owners and many more.

Government Services

Here at Rough Country Roleplay, we have whitelisted government factions set up for all players to enjoy. The recruitment & training process is full of unique roleplay opportunities to make you stand out. Whether it be on the job training or controlled training sessions, we are here to give you the best experience possible.

Lawmen
Our lawmen faction is split up into 5 departments: West Elizabeth Sheriff’s Department, Lemoyne Sheriff’s Department, New Hanover Sheriff’s Department, New Austin Sheriff’s Department & the US Marshals. We also have opportunities for more federal positions such as our Board of Liaisons & Board of Law Commissioners.

Doctors
Our doctors faction is our dedicated medical faction. Our doctors specialize in assisting all players in our server with their medical needs, whether it be gun shot wounds, prolonged sickness or assisting the lawmen with crisis management.

Player Owned Businesses

Players are encouraged to own their own businesses if they have the resources and necessary skills to thrive in today’s economy. There is an application process, however it is worth it in the end. You could own a blacksmiths, gunsmiths, stable, saloon, lumber mill or you could start your own custom store by purchasing a shops license from a store!

Civilian Jobs!

As a community, we highly encourage civilian roleplay. To support this, we offer a wide range of pre-scripted jobs or jobs in which you work for another player. You can become a blacksmith, gunsmith, horse trainer, train conductor, lumberjack, hunter, you could work on a ranch, work for someones store and much more!

Whatever you can think of, you can do!

Alongside civilian roleplay, you may want to get involved in some… not so legal roleplay. In the event that you want to become a criminal, we have plenty of opportunities for you! Whether that be selling contraband, manufacturing illegal substances, robbing stores, robbing banks, high-jacking wagons and much more!

Camping Update

Camping System has been added. You can now cut down wood, rocks and leather to create small campsites for those lengthy adventures! You can now create a small tent, sleeping bag and hitching post.

Hanging

After introducing our new hanging system a few weeks ago, our lawman have gotten out of control! Poor robert royce didn’t see this one coming. Don’t mess with the United States Marshals son!

Musical marshals?

We’ve recently introduced working pianos, which includes a small mini game to keep you entertained. You can sip some good ol’ beer and play your favorite 1890’s music!

Business is booming!

Events Week!

This week has been fun and exciting because we have hosted many events! Our newly created events team, headed by one of our staff members price has been hard at work creating events, working alongside our management team to improve player count and player experience. So, what have we seen this week?

Blackwater Boxing Event

This tremendous, exciting and by far most attended event occurred on Thursday this week! A stunning 20 players showed up to see some people get mashed! Headed by our president of the Blackwater Barenuckle Boxing Association, Billy Brittle, our event consisted of multiple rounds and some tense situations! We also had a headliner fight of England vs Ireland from our much loved businessman and ranch owner Henry Royce and our all time favorite United States Marshal Cole Phelps! Unfortunately for the law, Sergeant Cole Phelps lost the fight and had to sing god save the King!

Housing Update

This amazing development team has finally given us our own custom housing update! You are now able to buy your own house and completely customize the inside! You can now customize your walls, layout, furniture and much more!

Bakery Update!

Finally you can own your own Bakery! The development team have decided to introduce some more business possibilities and with that comes a bakery and some new interesting foods! If you work at this bakery, you can create break, sandwiches, special meals, coffee, tea, pastries and soft drinks!

This week marks the launch of our Tik Tok & Youtube accounts! We will be uploading as often as possible on both sites with short fun videos from the community. We will be posting videos that the media team creates, alongside videos that the community uploads into our media channel.

News News News!

Our wonderful development team are now working on a newspaper system where you can create your own in-game newspapers with custom photos on each page! You are able to turn the page and discover a brand new print. A few members of our community have showed a keen interest in opening news agencies. Can you imagine the fabulous roleplay that will emerge from that?

We care about the thieves, we promise…

In a recent update to the server, we have introduced a looting system. You are now able to loot boxes and drawers all around the map. Perhaps you might find something… shiny inside.

Black Jack!

Players are now able to play blackjack in the small saloon in valentine. Play with friends and have an excellent time!

Wherefore art thou romeo?

In an amazing new update to the server, players are now able to purchase a ticket in the Saint Denis theater and watch a performance! You are also now able to purchase popcorn and cola . Just look at these performances!

Raise the Roof!

Using the /instrument command, you are now able to hold instrument props and play them using our keyboard map system! You can play things like the piano, guitar, banjo, trumpet, violin and more! You can use pre-made MIDI files or you can play it live! The choice is yours.

Will the real masked bandit please stand up?

In a new criminal update, we have added a location in Thieves Landing where you, and a friend, can start missions. Each mission will pay out differently and if the person who starts the mission dies, the mission is over. So be careful out there! In addition to this, we’ve received new robbing locations for stores as well as other structures so ask around and another criminal mastermind may be willing to help… for a price.

A new town in town?

Due to our constant growth as a community, we’ve made the big decision to open up another town for business, Rhodes! We give the players a real of new business opportunities as you can now purchase the Saloon, Gunsmith, Blacksmiths & Horse Stables! Of course, there is always space for you own shopfronts outside of buildings. If you are interested in owning one of these properties, you need to first have the funds for it, then open a ticket in our discord and our dedicated staff team would love to lend a hand!
