Rockstar Games Launcher / Library Connection Error – FiveM not detecting Rockstar Process

What is the issue you’re having?

Hello I’m having issues launching FiveM with the Rockstar Games Launcher. When I start FiveM, I receive the following errors:

“Connection to the Rockstar Games Library services could not be established.”

“127. Could not locate the Rockstar Games Launcher Process! If you are running it as administrator, please launch it as a regular user.”

I have already tried:

Restarting both FiveM and the Rockstar Games Launcher

Running both as administrator and as a regular user

Reinstalling the Rockstar Games Launcher and verifying the GTA V files

Restarting my PC and disabling antivirus/firewall temporarily

Unfortunately, the issue still persists. Could you please help me resolve this?

Thank you in advance for your time and support.

Best regards,

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

Additional comments

I would need to use redm support because fivem support is not displayed for me. I hope you can still help me.

I am experiencing the same issue with trying to launch RedM on my new laptop, a Lenovo Legion 9i with a 10th Gen Intel Core processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 (16GB), and Windows 11 Home.

I have already tried:

Restarting both RedM and the Rockstar Games Launcher

Running both as an administrator and as a regular user

Reinstalling RedM, the Rockstar Games Launcher, and verifying the RDR2 files in Steam.

Restarting my PC and disabling antivirus/firewall temporarily

Rebooting my modem, unplugging it, waiting 5 minutes, and reconnecting the power.

Adding both CFX.re and Rockstar to the Defender Exceptions.

Unfortunately, the issue still persists. Could you please help me resolve this?

Thank you in advance for your time and support.

same here! it was working great for so long with no issues until all of a sudden, I can’t even load in. I have also done all of the following that have been suggested.

Try uninstalling the 3 most recent Windows updates on your PC. This worked for me!
