Resmon window position causing FiveM client crash

Describe a detailed explanation of the bug you were experiencing

The FiveM client crashes when the resource monitor is dragged to a screen that uses onboard graphics.

Reproduction steps:

  1. Have a multi-monitor setup, with one monitor plugged into GPU, one into MOBO (and iGPU active in bios).
  2. Play FiveM on your monitor rendered via GPU.
  3. Start resmon and drag it to the monitor rendered via CPU.
    – Crash.

Any time I reload and attempt to open resmon again, the window position is seemingly loaded from the previous session and crashes again instantly, as it attempts to open on the same monitor.

Any immediate resolution would be handy. Can’t open resmon at all for the time being.

I don’t have access to a dual-GPU system sadly so someone else is going to have to investigate/fix this.

I’m seeing ‘GameOverlayRenderer64.dll’ in your crash though, does this also happen without Steam running?

… you could just unplug the second monitor, then use Windows’ taskbar controls to move the window back to a normal area?!

Without steam running the same issue persist.

Unplugging the monitor and opening resmon solved it! Nice one :stuck_out_tongue:
