[Release] LiveMap

Not going to do that just in case there’s ever a person that wants the original fire station icon. I have however, added both icons to the markers file.

So, if you really want to use the “flame” as your fire station icon, I suggest manually editing the blips file and changing the icon number from 137 to 436.

This should be available as of v3.2.5.

Names are done for each marker/blip so, you would have to add a "name": "some name" to each blip you wanted to name. For example,

"343": [{
 "x": 0,
 "y": 0,
 "z": 0,
 "name": "Test 1"
},
{
 "x": 0,
 "name": "Test 2",
 "y": 0,
 "z": 0
}]

Fantastic, thank you!!

You need to put it in your Web Server!

any one had this issue too ?
I am on a windows server and i did install both scripts (fivem server and html in wamp)
when i put in config to access server on ip 127.0.0.1 i do see on my sevrer i am connected to the sevrer. but when i try on my computer is says disconnected.
I instead of 127.0.0.1 i did put my ip and on my server and computer it displays disconnected.

I don’t know what i could have been done wrongly?..
I did portforward my server port + 30121
and i did a blips generate and the blips are displaying.
so someone could help me, would be great! I surely did miss something

Alright so I have everything working blips and everything’s working fine but I am getting a error that says

" Socket error! There was an error with the socket connection: Unknown reason (Server is probably down)"

I do not understand this error as the blips are working but the actual players aren’t showing. As well as this is the only error that I am getting. I portforwarded “30121” inbound and outbound. But still getting nothing to work.

I had to change socket ports 30121 didn’t work for me either, changing the port fixed the issue

What did you change your port to? I changed mine and I am still getting the same error as above.

Help me @Havoc I’m also stuck on the blips.json like wat u do in the file

Hi, I am getting this error after setting everything up as mentioned within the github docs.

I have used only released version of the live map and still get this

https://i.dubstepmad.com/20.07.02-27.05.19.png

Also this is gain by clicking the ‘disconnected’ button within the controls.

I’m having the same issue with the Socket Error. I’ve tried multiple ports, UDP and TCP, and still not working. Did you get yours figured out?

EDIT: The newest live_map dll must have been corrupted for me. Reverted to an older one and it works.

Thank you for this information! What version did you go to if I may ask?

I’m not entirely sure. I had a version on an older server install we don’t use anymore. It shows the same version number in the details tab on Windows. But the date I last installed it was in January 2018. I’m thinking I had a corrupted or blocked dll file.

im having the socket error too, ports are open.
@Havoc could you please check for issues? i love this resource, its so great and i hope you can fix it. thanks :slight_smile:

may i ask what postal code map you used for the livemap?

It works for me. You should check your config file.

You have to do /blips generate in game then a blips.json file will generate in your game resource. Take that file then put it in your web server!

You should just be able to leave it as the default but if it doesn’t work contact your webserver’s support team.

the webservers support team would not care about stuff like that. why should they, there server has no issue i think…

config has not big potential to be misused… just put ip, port and stuff in and go…
and the blips are shown correctly - they are already done…

but the livemap doesnt want to connect, and if you scroll up you see that alot of people having the same issue… :confused:

You’re having issues with the config most likely. That or, you have changed the port on the fivem resource without updating the config.json file.
I can’t read minds. And I can’t diagnose an issue with your configs without a link.

And yes. It’s definitely a config issue because I have this running for a server and it works fine.

Shit. Totally forgot to credit the owner. My bad. I cannot remember exactly where I got the map from but, it looks like it could be this one [Release] Postal Code Map & Minimap - New & Improved - v1.3

Although, you can now use any map you want really.

Care to clarify?

you say we can use any map really. so how is that done i see theirs a png but the postal codes are ytds arent they.
