For those on Win 10 with the “Creators Update” (Build 1703) the CouchDB service does not work correctly because of the included nssm.exe. You can download a fixed version at https://nssm.cc/download or use the one attached. Just stop the Apache CouchDB service in Windows, replace the nssm.exe in “Your-CouchDB-Install-Directory\bin”, and start the service again. If the service starts successfully then you should be able to access “http://localhost:5984/_utils” and get things going.nssm-2.24-101-g…
