RedM - Error 127/ 718 - Rockstar Launcher Issue

What is the issue you’re having?

Not applicable – issue occurs before joining any server.

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

  • Restarted my PC
  • Reinstalled Rockstar Games Launcher
  • Verified that both RedM and Rockstar Launcher are up to date
  • Tried running both RedM and Rockstar Launcher as administrator
  • Tried running both as regular user
  • Disabled antivirus temporarily
  • Cleared cache from RedM folder
  • Checked firewall settings to allow both RedM and Rockstar Launcher
  • Reinstalled RedM client
  • Fully formatted the PC and reinstalled everything from scratch

What server did you get this issue on?

The issue occurs before joining any server. RedM fails to launch properly.

GPU: NVIDIA GT
RAM: 16 GB
Storage: SSD

Antivirus software

Windows Defender

Additional comments

Every time I try to launch RedM, I get the following errors:

  • Error 127: Could not locate the Rockstar Games Launcher Process. If you are running it as administrator, please launch it as regular user.
  • Error 718: Failure connecting to the Rockstar Games Launcher.

I have tried the following:

  • Launching RedM and Rockstar Launcher as regular user and administrator (both ways)
  • Reinstalling Rockstar Launcher
  • Updating Windows
  • Restarting PC

The issue occurs immediately when launching RedM, before reaching server selection.

Please advise how to resolve this issue.

were in the same boat, ive even tried turning off my VPN and still the same Error 718 issue, if you find the answer id love to know as im still looking on how to fix it
