[Re - Design] Esx_menu_default

Hey guys! Do alot of UI design and figured i would share a quick build with everyone so you can all make your server look cool!

  • This was a 1-2 minute fix up from the original esx_menu_default and decided i would create a cool menu for you server owners out there! I didn’t put any details as this was a quick minute design.

  • This menu features the use of the keyframe css element to add a cool animation to the menu when on a selected menu-item!

  • Let me know on some more design ideas and i’ll be glad to add more to the github!

  • This is a RE-DESIGN and did not, in any way shape or form, create the “esx_menu_default” script!

What script is this based off of? If you give me the script, i could possibly create a fork off of it making the invoices look like that

Esx menu default, exact same script just a remake over

Ahh i apologize, i thought you wanted the speed camera script invoices to look like that. Ill make the menu for sure!

You have just copied their work, yanked their names off it (in violation of their license!) and released it.

That’s not how GPL works. Make a fork on GitHub and work off that, keeping the original author names intact.
Yours says ESX Menu Default created by JoeShmoDesigns!, which is a lie. You edited some CSS, and that’s it.

lol yes, thats why it says [Advanced Design]. Clearly i didnt steal it. In the description of the git repository, I state that i made the DESIGN! not the menu

According to the license of the files you copied, you are supposed to credit the original author.
You didn’t even keep the git history, you just re-uploaded it with no credit at all to anyone but yourself.

That is a violation of the GPL3 that the original is licensed under.
https://github.com/esx-framework/esx_menu_default/blob/master/LICENSE

I didn’t say you “stole” anything. I’m saying you’re violating their license.
As for your “I state that i made the DESIGN! not the menu” - So what? You are putting your name on all of it by posting it under your github account accredited to you alone, and give no reference to any previous contributors at all.

How would you feel if I took your work, yanked your name off it, and released it? Maybe I “did not steal it” because “I state that I made the DOCUMENTATION! not the design”

As of the git history, this is my first time uploading to github so that is my apologies. As of the link to the original author, once again, one of my first posts to the forum release page and was just immediately fixed

Next time you make changes to a github project, just make a fork on github.
It preserves everything for you very nicely.
Also, when changing other people’s work, make sure you’re familiar with the license attached to it before distributing. It’s the “Keep the author’s name attached” part that keeps Open Source working.

For sure man. First real post on the development part of the forums. Sorry for any issues :+1: :
