So if I clear my cache then I can load into redm and into a server. I’ll nearly get fully into the server then the game will crash with a rage error. Then the next time I try to open redm I get the vulkan error out of device memory. If I clear my cache again then I can open redm fine. I don’t understand what is going on. I’ve been able to fully load into the server once since this issue started.
What have you tried already to fix the issue?
Clearing my cache, switching from vulkan to dx12, restarting my pc, allocating max memory to games, and changing from live to beta

This has started to become a larger issue than I thought. I originally started seeing this about three days ago. I have attempted to help roughly 8 players now in the community I am apart of with this issue. It is spreading like wild fire. I hope CFX.RE can put an end to this. Here is everything we have attempted so far.
-Clear Cache
-Updating of Graphics Card Drivers
-Switching between Vulkan and DX12 (on NVIDIA and in RDR2)
-Reinstall RedM
-Reinstall Red Dead Redemption 2 (this helped some players)
-Custom Steam Startup prompt
-Changing VRAM to a higher amount
We also have been getting this error in relation to this VULKAN issue.
This is exactly what is happening to me too. There was some kind of update a couple of days ago and then the same exact errors started showing up. I have done exactly everything this person has done. I removed everything related to RedM off my computer as well and then reinstalled everything. Still getting error.
I find that if I restart my computer I may be able to get in once to RedM. I’m a server owner. I am paying for 2 servers. This is costing me money as we are still working to get it going. I can’t get in to test what my developers are doing. I hope that a fix is found soon. Many people are complaining about this issue.
I have found a kind of fix that usually works for people. Clear the cache that only says cache then you can load in nearly as fast as normal as the server cache is still there. Clearing the cache though seems to bypass the vulkan error allowing you to get into redm and then it’s just a matter of loading into the server.
Hi, to anyone still struggling with this, I have now figured it out for me. The out of memory is basically because your virtual ram does not have enough ram allocated to it. Unsure how my PC set the number to a low number but I changed it. Here is how to do it:
In your Windows PC Search Bar → View Advanced System Settings
Peformance Box → Click Settings
Click Advanced Tab in the new popup
In the Virtual Memory Box, click Change
Uncheck the “Automatically…” at the top
Click on Custom Size
Set the Initial to a higher minimum MB number, that is still less than the Space Available MB
Set the Maximum Size to the Space Available or a number close to it.
Click Ok and restart your computer.
Hope that works!
