RAGE error ERR_GFX_D3D_INIT

Hi,
Around 10s after running the game with the FiveM client, the game crashes and I get the message shown in the first attached screenshot. I have already tried what you recommend and everything I could, but I can’t find the issue. Hope you can help me out with this.

The game version is 1103.1,
it is up to date,
it’s a legit copy.
I have the Social Club version.
My OS is Windows 10 Pro Version 1703 Build 15063.413 x64,
The only antivirus I have is Windows Defender, and yes, I have disabled it.
Yes, I have removed the caches.xml file and launched the game, with no results…

Here is the error (for some reason it doesn’t show any details in the spoiler):

Here is the GTA V root folder:

Below is the GTA V/update/x64/dlcpacks’s content:

The path to FiveM folder is C:\Users\Me\AppData\Local\FiveM.

This is my FiveM client folder:

Specs:
CPU AMD A-10-5800K
GPU GTX960 4GB
RAM 8GB (2x4) DDR5

CitizenFX.log:
CitizenFX.log (26.0 KB)

.dmp file:
1a42e81f-cc67-4c37-aba8-3de83922a778.dmp

I have reinstalled the FiveM client without success, and I don’t know what else to do. Also ignore the commandline.txt file, because I have tried removing it and the problem persists the either way.

Thanks,
Chocoleight

Try disabling shadow play.

This worked for me.

Still not working… :disappointed_relieved:

Thanks either way!

Oh I didn’t disable it correctly… Now it works!

Thank you very much!!!

I still hope they fix that…

Glad I could help!

i’ve disabled shadowplay and i still get it

Update graphics drivers

If you had ShadowPlay, and you’re getting the same error it is pretty obvious that ShadowPlay is causing it, so you should try to open the overlay to check whether it’s enabled or not. If it really is off, you should even uninstall it and try then.

The crash is caused by the ShadowPlay notification that pops up at the top-right corner of the screen, saying something like “Press shortcut to start recording!”.

Another thing you could try, is going to the ShadowPlay overlay > Options > Notifications and disable them all.

Hope this fixed your issue
