RAGE error : ERR_GEN_MAP

For a few days (approximatively 20), people are having a specific crash while trying to connect to the server when there are more than 90 players on the server. It doesn’t seem to happen each time they try to connect to the server, but several times before being able to join the server.

It is an issue with one of the scripts of the server, but I can’t find which one. I hope this is the right category to post, if not, feel free to change it.

Windows version : 10.0.18363
Did you try to delete caches.xml and try again : I don’t but some users with the same issue did, no results.

System specifications : I don’t get what kind of information you need here but as it is happening to almost every player, I believe it is not related. Let me know if I’m mistaken.

Also add what you already tried so far :

  • Tried removing some of the maps of the server (not all of them tho), no effects ;
  • Searched discord, FiveM forums and the web, found no informations ;
  • Tried delaying the call to GetInteriorAtCoords (as there is an error in that log file) but it is unrelated, I believe.

New things I tried :

  • Updating the server to the latest artifact ;
  • Removing some .ymaps and .ybn.

Both had no effects, will continue to investigate this issue. Pretty strange as it does seem to happen only when there are a decent number of people connected to the server.

I also tried to read the dump file, but as I’m not really experienced in that I couldn’t find anything interesting.

Fixed by removing more very heavy .ymap and by optimizing server side ressources.

After further analysing the dump, I found that the crash was related to a call to CanApplyToObject(obj) in CloneManager.cpp and then some other calls I couldn’t track. So, no useful info.
