A question and am sure a lot are wondering the same.
What are the risks of hosting FiveM on my own PC?
Okay we buy let’s say an OVH server and it’s specs are much lower than my own PC so why don’t i just host it myself?
I know some of you will be like oh go host it on your own PC than. No i want to know people’s opinions on this and what are the risks. Like what would happen if i get 30+ players on while hosting on my own PC etc…

First of all, you’ll have to deal with IP Attacks (DDOS Attacks) On your own IP Address if someone was to do that, Secondly you’d have to have your PC on 24/7 meaning power consumption is going to be a issue for you, Also, If you were to play video games with it Open with “30+ players” then you’d have to deal with all the traffic that comes alongside that, meaning you’d most likely lag.
Also, your PC specs are most likely built for gaming not server hosting, So yes your PC may have “better” specs physically than the OVH Host does, But the OVH Host, (Dedicated server) Is built and optimised for gaming servers meaning the utilization of their hardware wouldn’t be as heavy as it’d be on yours.

              That makes sense. Thank you.
