This script uses your vehicle’s handling.meta “fInitialDriveMaxFlatVel” to set your vehicle’s max speed. This is a simple way to have your vehicle truly limited to its actual top speed. Here is the Reference Website to find top speeds. This script will hard limit your vehicle to the set speed. This should prevent modders from speed boosting to 250 mph, unless of course, you have the set max speed higher than that.

How To Setup Vehicle Top Speed in Handling.meta

  1. Go to this website and navigate to Engine, then click on the number for Top Speed. Copy the correct value once it lines up with your MPH top speed.

  1. Place the value you copied in your handling.meta for the vehicle in “fInitialDriveMaxFlatVel”.

  1. Once these steps have been completed, your vehicle should be capped to your set speed automatically.

sounds good, but will it still cap when i upgrade the car with engine and turbo upgrades?

It will since it is going off of the handling.meta for that vehicle. You can create a script that sets a higher fInitialDriveMaxFlatVel when upgrading the engine or turbo.
