Qb-police fingerprint

Hey all, I’m setting up a QBCore server for a community and we’re looking for an explanation of the “scan fingerprint” functionality. We have it set up in multiple stations and when someone scans their fingerprint, we get a long string like “Zg763G11iaB0302”. We are wondering where it goes from here, as in how do we convert that string in to the player’s identity.

Got ya. So “base game” functionality ends at the scan and would need another resource like PS-MDT to go from there, right?

Thanks a ton for that info and keep up the great work team! Does anyone know if SonoranCAD can take the Fingerprint ID or would I be better off trying to convince them to switch to PS?

That is a good question, i’ll try to find out!

So I did a bit of digging around myself and was able to make a custom Lookup Type for “Fingerprint ID” on Sonoran and made a box on the civilian’s Character Information page for their “Fingerprint ID.” This would require the Civilian to obtain and upload their own Fingerprint ID before Police could look them up by the fingerprint, and would only work on freshly made civilian profiles. Just posting this up here for anyone else searching the forums to see that it is possible. I did demonstrate PS-MDT to them though and they’re on board for that because it’s free and has full built in QBCore support from the get go. Thanks again for the help Kakarot!
