Detailed Feature Rundown:

“ps-stancer” is designed for those who want to modify their vehicle’s stance, a less common practice in the car modding community. The script allows players to create unique, eye-catching vehicles by adjusting the suspension and wheels.

Suspension Customization: Players can raise or lower their vehicle’s suspension to achieve a slammed or lifted look, giving them the ability to create a truly personalized driving experience.

Wheel Customization: The script offers several options for adjusting the wheels, including:

  1. Wheel size: This feature works in some special instances, allowing players to change the size of their wheels.
  2. Wheel width: Similar to wheel size, this feature can be used in specific cases to adjust the width of the wheels.
  3. Independent x-axis offset and y-axis rotation for each wheel: This provides ultimate control over wheel stancing, allowing players to fine-tune their vehicle’s appearance.

Robust Save System: “ps-stancer” includes a comprehensive save system that automatically loads saved configurations, making it easy for players to maintain their vehicle’s unique style across sessions.

Authorization & Monetization:

The “ps-stancer” script uses a single layer of authorization, which means server admins can choose to monetize access to the script or make it freely available to all players. With this flexible approach, server owners can generate revenue by offering stance modification as a premium feature or enhance their server’s appeal by providing it to everyone.

Performance Advantage:

resmon

Compared to other stancing scripts, such as vStancer, “ps-stancer” delivers the best performance, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for players while they modify their vehicles. Choose “ps-stancer” for the optimal combination of performance, customization options, and ease of use.

Dependencies:

  • This script relies on ps_lib (a fork of ox_lib) for the Menu and Notifications.
      - This comes prepackaged (with the included license) and is recommended to use for stability. (if it works for me, it should work for you)
      - Thank you to Linden, Luke, & the Overextended team + contributors for creating this open-source utility.

Updates

ps-stancer: :warning:This update contains BREAKING CHANGES! 2023-05-29T20:50:00Z

  • Replaced ox_lib with a in-house fork called ps_lib (See here). The installation process is the same, except it’s called ps_lib. It should work on your other resources so long as you rename all usages of ox_lib to ps_lib.
  • Added the ability to enable usage through an inventory item. Baked in support for ESX, QB, & ox_inventory. Please see config/server/main.config.lua for further information.
  • Ensure proper syncing of stance/suspension between all clients.

So you say the performance is unparalleled to others out there, but then mention vStancer which is a dog box of a resource hog.

What sets this apart? What scripts have you compared yours against who also say the same thing? Does this work with all wheels/cars? does this save to DB or similar? client sync? etc

Good Morning,
I’d be glad to answer your questions…

I’m primarily comparing this resource performance wise to vStancer, which is the only real standalone competitor, and I provided data to back it up, hence the screenshot of the 0.01 ms. This performance is while driving a stanced car, when not driving a stanced car it reverts to 0.00 ms.

It technically does work on any car, however physics prevent you from doing too much on two wheels such as a motorcycle, but the menu itself doesn’t prevent you if you wanted to try.

These saves are on the client.

As for client sync, there technically isn’t anything to sync per say as vehicles are networked, but if the question is “does the stance stay for a different driver” the answer would be yes.

I’d recommend watching the preview video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rv3dft_lk44

If you have any other questions, I’d be glad to answer.

Have a great day!

Hi just one question have you tested it with multiple cars in the same area? For example if you have a car show and have 40+ stanced cars. How high would the resmon be?

Thanks

Good Afternoon,

While I have yet to test this in a way similar to the situation you described, I can explain to you how it works, and how it should perform in that situation.

First of all, the only client doing any “work” to stance a vehicle, is the most recent driver of said vehicle. So, in a hypothetical situation of a car show with dozens of stanced vehicles, the performance should be the same as if there was only one car, so about 0.01 ms in the resource monitor. In the case of someone who came without a stanced car, their resource monitor performance would likely be 0.00 ms.

 Hope this answers your question.

Have a great day.

Thanks for the reply appreciate it. So to add on to this, is the stancer only synced for the person driving it? Can people around the car outside see the stancer?

Thanks again for the response.

By this I meant that they are the only one incurring any form of direct perfomance loss.

GTA handles all syncing automatically, so the answer to your question would be, yes the stance syncs to all.

Hi bought the script love the ui. Is there a chance to have it open with an item?

Hmm. It’s meant to be fully standalone… I could add a function to the config that would let you add it yourself, but you would have to write that code yourself…

Yes i can add the code in would be much appreciated thanks

So, this isn’t DB saved? It sounds like anybody can /command to stance and just stance the car. No item or perms needed?

This resource is meant to be fully standalone. The target server I imagined would probably be running vMenu.

It is fully configurable with ace permissions, identifiers, and discord roles, however no job or item implementation out of the box. I’ll be making an update to allow this.

As a standalone solution, with no item or job perms, it looks great! Just coming from an RP server, thinking about integration. Is the code fully open?

The code is not open. However, I will be adding any reasonable modifications such as the ability to add a job lock.

I think that’s reasonable. Either a table of authorized jobs (most RP servers have multiple mech jobs), or a required item to “install” the kit would be amazing.

If you go the item install route, any plans on database saving them?

Will you offer open source for extra money?

Unfortunately, I do not plan on offering any of my resources as open source. As always, I’m willing to make reasonable modifications as requested.

Hey finding a standalone stancer that actually works is a nightmare.

My question is

Will this sync properly on onesync infinity.
I understand when players go far away there could be issues but being close to each other will the stance stay present for other drivers

There is already another database stancer out there that works pretty good
