SERVER STATUS: BETA (ending in 4 days)

INFORMATION: Project Apocalypse is a zombie apocalypse RP server that has been in development for the past couple of months and is expected to officially launch within the upcoming weeks. The server is strictly “text-based” RP with brief voice communication only being viable through radios (walkie-talkies), the rest is all text-based. Why text-based? There are a few reasons, some being opinions but mainly we feel as if voice RP could feel “off” at times whereas, through text, your character’s emotions and interactions could be more imaginative. There’s also a mix of people that are not always able to RP through voice (broken mic, late at night, etc), this is subject to being changed whether the community deems so.

FEATURES:

• Stunning post-apocalyptic map.
• Realistic zombie models with animations.
• Fully functioning and smooth inventory system (credits: OX team)
• Dozens of different weapons/weapon attachments/items + realistic weapon recoil.
• Looting system (can loot a variety of objects: dumpsters, lockers, crates, boxes, cars, registers, shelves, and most certainly zombies that are killed)
• Fishing (can catch dozens of different sea-life creatures such as sharks, trout, bass, dolphins, sea turtles, stingrays, crabs, etc) + have the option of cooking them on a reliable fire.
• Text-based RP commands + standalone chat similar to SA:MP (/me, /do, /ooc, /s(hout), /ame)
• Several unique factions ranging from the good, the bad, and the ugly.
• Optimized damage pop-up system (-7, -30, -46, -53, -60, -100)
• Several safe-zones/colonies across the map.
• Clean radio (walkie-talkie) UI utilizing pma-voice.
• Informative + clean loading screen.
• Plus a whole lot more!

GOAL: Build a fun text-based RP server but post-apocalyptic with realistic features. Grow the community with like-minded individuals that have the same vision when it comes to an “apocalypse”. There will be a ton of features, but the RP that is generated from the community is what really counts especially when it comes to text RP. There will be everything from military factions, scientists, savages, bandits, PMCs, an “ever-lasting” government (so to speak), private colonies, and gangs; the list goes on as imagination and creativity are endless.

Most of all, to engage with the community and make new friends/connections.

How do I join the community? The only way to play the server is by being in the DISCORD, as it whitelists you. This was enabled to not only strengthen the community’s core, but it eliminates the factor of any “non-RP” individuals from just joining and trolling.

The events that unfolded on December 20th, 2024, changed the world as we knew it forever… It was a cold morning roughly 45℉, with just days left away from Christmas. The birds were already up and chirping at 5:30 AM and the local commuters of San Andreas were already driving by 6:00-6:30 AM. Businesses were preparing for another day. The thriving city of Los Santos and the vast state of San Andreas appeared normal, everything seemed to be just fine; when suddenly, a broadcast was emitted on all TVs, radios, cars, and phones across the state. Two-alarm tones and after, a male AI voice spoke the following:


"This is not a TEST! This message was transmitted at the request of the San Andreas State Government, this warning is for the following areas: STATEWIDE. A viral outbreak has broken out on a container ship harboring in the Los Santos Port, carrying an estimated 245 crew members.

At 03:00 the container ship named “The Mary Jane” reported a crew member that appeared to have gone severely ill, he was taken from his post-work and brought to a bedroom to rest.
At 04:30 the crew member was unresponsive and appeared extremely pale. A few medic-certified crew members were called down to treat the ill male.
At 05:00 after trying desperately to revive the male, a slight twitch was reported from his limbs. Shortly after, the male woke up and appeared extremely disoriented and had yellowish eyes; immediately the ill crew member lunged and attacked several other crew members.
At 06:00 the Captain transmitted several MAYDAY calls and reported the attack with what appeared to be some sort of mutated virus infection, the deceased would come back to life but in a completely different form. The ship was headed toward the port as it was the closest “docking point” from their coordinates.
At approximately 07:00 Mary Jane was deemed a “ghost ship” with no radio transmissions, or beacons. At 07:30 coast guard and police, rescue missions were enabled… Citizens are to remain IN-DOORS at this time. Stock up on water, food, and any other essential items."


For days to follow, the government gave no updates after the initial broadcast. Most of the updates, if there were any at all, came from smaller news networks and radio stations across the state; but even then, they only knew so little and it was more say spread through word of mouth. The only real proof we had of anything “major” happening was a .5 mile long “quarantine zone” that cut the entire Port off with armed military officials at guard.

The next morning seemed to be the breaking point of civilization and humanity as we knew it. Police officers began telling residents to EVACUATE through their cruisers’ mega-phones. All hell broke loose, and hundreds if not thousands of people began vacating in a panic. Airports, highways, police departments, military bases, and bridges all began to get flooded with panicked civilians. Civilians being families, babies, children, elderly people, and pets. Governer Schmitt was rendered useless and took no part in helping. It was the brave men and women serving in the San Andreas Armed Services and the Los Santos Police Department that had the heart to aid and try all they had to vacate thousands of frightened people. Unfortunately, their efforts went unpaid… With little to no resources, they were no longer able to vacate any more civilians out of the state. Fortunately, thanks to the SAAS Corps of Engineers several safe bases or colonies were established and built across the state using various materials.

SAN ANDREAS ARMED SERVICES (S.A.A.S)
MISSION: To fight off the living dead, maintain order in populated safe zones or colonies, perform rescue missions of any confirmed living survivors, execute orders given by the Chancellor/Governor, work closely with Atlas Research Corporation, perform insurgency and supply runs.

We are currently looking for motivated individuals that are interested in leading the San Andreas Armed Services. Said person will be put at the rank of General and make his/her own policies or any changes to the faction. If more than one is interested, the rest will be put into a “High Command” position alongside the newly appointed General of SAAS.

ATLAS RESEARCH CORPORATION (A.R.C)
MISSION: Analyze, research, and perform an array of different experiments surrounding the living dead, their ultimate goal is to “save man-kind” by finding a cure (if one exists), track different zombies, perform behavioral analysis (when do zombies come out, what is their “roaming path” can be done by using GPS tracking etc all through RP), work closely with S.A.A.S and the Government.

RECRUITMENT: The Atlas Research Corporation mainly looks for enlisted personnel within the San Andreas Armed Services, although some expectations have been made for highly intelligent/experienced survivors.
