phonePal - Android fivem interaction <Pre-Alpha no release yet>

Hi everyone

Just wondered what your opinions on an Android App I am currently working on that can interact with a fiveM server. Currently just the satnav working but scope for much much more.

Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

I’ve been thinking about something like this for a while, but I gave up because players wouldn’t use it due to security concerns. looks perfrect, awsome unique work :gift_heart:

Looks cool, and I can see some uses, but not as a companion for in-game activities (maybe just one option to replicate your in-game phone, but even that will make your character not use the phone in-game).

Using the app as a companion for when you are out of the game might be better. Allow the player to login in their account from the phone, without being in-game, so they can see their messages, emails, stats, etcetc and maybe even interact with in-game players. This will allow addicted dedicated players to keep the roleplay up even when not in-game.

Thanks, yes indeed security is a concern. Obviously its server side so can only access server stuff. So the server owner would have to take a little leap of faith and trust the plugin.

On a side note, Any good server owner would be able to sniff out any untoward information and verify its validity themselves no? At the moment it uses one way traffic from the app to the server and nothing the other way. The receiving port would have to be opened and blocking anything else as you really should, SHOULD cover you. but its a trust thing fer sure on the server owners part.

Interesting idea. The original thought was being able to drive and wham a postcode in without compromising your driving either typing or entering the menu for nav purposes. I stick my phone on a little stand and its perfect for a quick route change, especially if the Five-O are on you

The possibilities are there but for it to work across varying premade or custom server scripts would be one helluva coding nightmare to allow for each eventuality.

(oh and incase anyone is wondering… its working on esx  ) lol
