What is the issue you’re having?
Hi, I’m setting up a fresh FiveM server (txAdmin, Windows) and I’ve been stuck with the following error for several hours now:
Fatal Error: An error occurred while checking server license key: HTTP 429: 429 Too Many Requests
What I’ve already tried, without success:
Waited 30-60+ minutes with the server fully stopped between attempts
Changed my public IP (router restart)
Changed my DNS to 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4
Generated a brand new server key on Keymaster and updated sv_licenseKey in server.cfg
Fully restarted my PC
Made sure Windows Firewall wasn’t blocking the connection
The server keeps entering a restart loop (txAdmin auto-restarts FXServer after it exits on the 429), which I’ve now manually stopped by killing the process in Task Manager to avoid making things worse.
My current server license key: ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
What have you tried already to fix the issue?
- Waited 30-60+ minutes with the server fully stopped between attempts
- Changed my public IP address (router restart)
- Changed DNS to 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4
- Generated a brand new server key on Keymaster and updated sv_licenseKey
- Fully restarted my PC
- Disabled Windows Firewall temporarily to rule it out
- Manually killed the FXServer.exe process in Task Manager to stop the auto-restart loop caused by txAdmin
