Introducing the Mirror Park Studios Police Essentials script, which allows you to only cuff, drag and tackle the nearest civilian to you. No longer do you have to faff around trying to get the right id for your civilian, or dragging the officers around you!
This script is standalone, and designed for servers that do not use a framework to manage if a player is a police officer or a civilian.
Commands & Features
/onduty - Sets you on duty as emergency services
/offduty - Sets you off duty as emergency services, in other words a civilian.
/c or /cuff - Cuffs the nearest civilian
/fc or /frontcuff - Front cuffs the nearest civilian
There is a configuration option that allows you to choose whether you have to hold the keybind to drag players or not. If you set it so that dragging it toggled, then the following commands are available:
/drag
/d
Otherwise, dragging is done by keybinds. Keybinds are also available for cuffing. These keybinds can be set in Settings > Keybinds > FiveM.
For tackling, the default keybind is LSHIFT and E. This can be changed in the configuration file.
When dragging someone, you can also put them in a vehicle if a seat is available by pressing F.
This resource uses the FiveM Tebex Escrow system. The only file accessible to customers is the Config file where you can set whether dragging is toggled or held.
There is also an export for use by developers available to get the duty of a player.
This is more designed for the servers without frameworks and the job capability, because it adds the ability for you to specify whether players are a civilian or not that those servers without frameworks lack.
We have just released a new update, including tackling into this resource! Police officers can only tackle civilians. It also includes the tackle animation, and configuration for the keybinds and the distance from which you can tackle.
This is great mate loving it. Problem having people go /offduty and then back /onduty as they aren’t getting the text chat saying they’re back on duty and can’t do any commands unless they relog?
How strange, I’ve spoken to a few other customers and they don’t seem to be having this issue. If you look in f8 console and the server console when the issue occurs is there anything there?
Sorry mate should have mentioned that in my first message, no errors popping up or anything like that. I’ll double check that there aren’t any commands conflicting with it but beyond that, I’m not sure.
What exactly does /onduty /offduty do besides display a message in the console? Does it give a loadout, does it change your model, what? Please explain further.
It is localised to this script or scripts that developers use the export for. It makes it so that, if you are a civilian, you can do /offduty so that any police officers around you do not get cuffed, tackled, or dragged, which is a problem that many people experience when using other scripts, or they have to faff around finding the id for the person they want to drag/cuff etc.
