Hello! Welcome to reFlow-Hunting, the last hunting script you’ll ever need! Jumping right into it lets begin with Features;

Features


reFlow-Hunting sets the stage for three unique & dynamic ways to hunt animals

Tracking

  • Search Hunting Areas for signs of animal activity (Poop)
    – When you’re nearby, you’ll hear flies buzzing (Both Ambient GTA Sounds, and imported Sounds to make it easier to find)
    – The imported sound will begin playing around 20 GTA Distance from the location, and will get louder the closer you get, allowing you to pinpoint it’s exact location.
    – Once nearby, interact with the poop to begin tracking the animal. This will eliminate the imported sounds and next you’ll follow the ANIMALS FOOTPRINTS to the next tracking location.
    – Animals mostly have their own unique footprints, which will allow you to determine what you’re hunting before you even spot it.
    – Upon finding the last location, an animal will spawn nearby and you’ll be alerted that it’s in the area.

Baiting

  • Utilize two different types of Hunting Baits to lure Animals
    – Carnivore Bait’s purpose is to lure out any meat-eating animals. These include Bears, Panthers, Mountain Lion & Coyotes.
    – Herbivore Bait’s purpose is for those animals who only eat plants. These include Deers, Boars, Rabbits & Skunks.
    – Once Placed, move away from the Bait and wait on the Animal to eventually show up and wander the area.

Calling

  • Animal Calls are the ideal group activity when hunting, Included are three different animal calls which will lure different animals
    – Use the Animal Calls for luring out the specified Animal. When used will play an Animal call sound that anyone nearby can here. When the Animal’s hear it, they will let out a reply call in which you can use to track down it’s location. It will come to you / the sound on continuous use until it is aggroed.
    Deer Call
    Boar Call
    Cormorant Call (This is a Bird) - Will lure out a bird, in which case once nearby it will be startled (They have good eye sight) and will fly away. Make sure you stay vigilant when using the bird call.

Harvesting

  • reFlow-Hunting utilizes a Progression System when harvesting animals. It’s set up with 4 Skill Levels for the player to climb, and 3 Different Tiers of Pelts.
    – Each Level gives you different chances at acquiring better pelts
    – The Chances, Experience Required, and Levels can all be set in the config.
    Alongside the level system, WHERE you shoot the animal also helps determine the quality of the pelt.
    — We’ve also added ANIMAL TAGS to the script. Like in real life, hunting and harvesting an animal is mostly ILLEGAL without using an Animal Tag. Acquire these from the hunting store, and when harvesting an animal choose the option to tag.
  • This will add Metadata to the pelt which includes;

    The Animals Weight, Time of Harvest, Location of Harvest, Type of Animal to help Police (Or Park Rangers) Crack down on poaching. We believe this opens up a HUGE Opportunity for RP, making some hunts illegal, as well as providing the perfect opportunity to have Hunting Competitions with you being able to compare the size and weight of an animal against a friend/competitor.

Non-GTA Animals

  • Included with the script are Two Animals you will not find anywhere else.
  • Bears & Skunks.
  • But that won’t be all! We’ve got two other Animals which will be added (Alternative Versions of GTA-Animals) As well as others coming in the future!

Protect Yourself

  • Animals can be dangerous! Which is why we’ve included some common things hunters bring with them
    – Scent Remover - Use this to help hide your scent from the different Animals. This will allow you to get much closer undetected before the animal enters fight or flight.
    – Bear Spray - Useful to help deter Bears from Eating You. They are very aggressive, but Bear Spray overpowers their senses and will make them flee (Usually).

Hunting Brochure

  • Use the Hunting Brochure to help guide you to the different hunting locations (EASILY add more locations in the Config.Lua)
    – Gives information about the Location, and what Animals you can find in the area.
    – Shows pictures of each of the animals footprints to help you determine what you’re tracking
    – No Limit on how many Animals, or Locations you can add.

Shop

  • Located near the Military Base @ The Sporting Goods Ammunation
    – Sell your Pelts & Meat here, or acquire different goods for Hunting including
    — Carnivore Bait
    — Herbivore Bait
    — Boar, Deer, and Bird Calls
    — Animal Tags

The video doesn’t do the script all the justice it deserves, but it’s hard to showcase hunting which requires some patience.

When you kill an animal, you can pick up the animal and put it on top of the vehicle.

I see. Its something I can definetly add down the road.

where do players get the weapon ?

is there any protection against player vs player attacks?

can the weapon only be used in the hunting zone?

No, but if we add the snippet it will only work on animals so then it doesn’t really matter if you are in a hunting zone or not.

The weapon & Ammo have been added to the shop.

The weapon now as well can only be used against Non-Players so no PvP woes.

Yes, then it would only be cool, as some have already described, if you had to load the animals onto the vehicle and possibly take them to the butcher etc. first.

and can sell what is illegal on the black market^^

leaderboard top hunters etc. legal/illegal

event tournaments that can be started randomly (drive hunt etc.)

and you may need a licence to hunt

I wish there was a standalone client :frowning: to use in my server.

The license is something servers can already create independent of the script :slight_smile:

We plan on having Leaderboards and stuff but it will be at a later date and will depend on another script (to keep track of stuff instead of just ugly menus)

The tournaments are probably better off ran by Players than automatic :slight_smile: and when using the tags it records information like the weight and stuff so you can determine who actually won, as well as a time the animal was harvesting so people cannot cheat

Something I did in my old-old hunting script, and I’ll likely include in this one as well.

@KimDuckUn You can more or less use this as standalone (The source version), 99% of the framework things are for the server/items, so you’d just have to alter that

It looks very good

It reminds me a lot of theHunter game, I have spent many hours playing it.

The only thing I didn’t like is the interface, I think that a more striking interface would be wonderful.

To the ui of the GPS selection of the zone, a more interactive ui, even, that items can be purchased from the UI.

Will this have being able to put the carcass in a van or back of a truck to go butcher it… say for larger animals?

I am still waiting on the hunting tournaments job/ui to be released in a script. Make it where the Game Warden can run the tournaments for cash prizes. I think this would be the icing on the cake.

Will there also be a illegal sell ped that we can make randomly spawn in different places to sell illegal hides/meats to? I would also love to make it where we can cook all the various meats for consumption.

For now, we’ve updated the script to include being able to pick up and place the Animals on Vehicles, can set up where you want them to be placed individually, or use the default.

Missions have now been added, you can grab 3 Missions every Reset (30 Minute Resets or changed via the Config). There are 5 Missions Types, each with varying degree’s of effort and customizability.

Mission Types:
Tranq & Retrieve An Animal
Cull X Amount of Animals
Kill a Dangerous Animal
Fetch Items
Photography

Need an illegal seller or something that makes it where we carry an “illegal” animal in the car then the game warden or law enforcement can stop them.

Just trying to think of things that would make sense and create RP for everyone.

I love the script, the only thing that would make me want it more is if it had a leveling system that the missions gave experience for.! :slightly_smiling_face:
