Thank you for your comment. I’d like to clarify that the so-called “free” script you mentioned is, in fact, a clear violation of copyright and intellectual property rights. Its design are over 90% identical to our original script, which was released earlier. This indicates that the creators of that free script have copied our work without authorization.
Moreover, this infringes upon both copyright law and Fivem Terms of Service. Our official release predates the free version, so it is evident they replicated our code and design. Please note that using or promoting that free script could potentially involve legal risks.
If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to let me know. Thank you for understanding.
Hey @Amirhh_04
Just to clarify, FiveStar-SpawnSelector was written from scratch and is based on a public YouTube tutorial, not on anything you’ve made. Having a similar UI when everyone is following the same tutorial isn’t intellectual property theft.
Basic copyright principles clearly state that ideas, concepts, and general UI styles are not protected, only actual copied code or assets are
Also, if you truly believed your copyright was violated, you would have submitted a proper DMCA or copyright follow up request. which you never did
So before throwing around accusations of stealing, you might want to do a quick search on ideas vs expression in copyright law. You’ll probably notice your claim sounds a lot more emotional than legal.
