ONX Vegetation Overhaul Pack

ONX Vegetation Pack

Trees, Forests + Foliage Overhaul

:backhand_index_pointing_right: PURCHASE VEGETATION PACK

:video_game: Test out the Vegetation Pack before you buy on our showcase server

Transform San Andreas with a map-wide vegetation overhaul built for FiveM: denser forests, richer roadside greenery, and improved foliage scatter that makes the GTA V map feel less empty and brand new.

This pack focuses on what players actually notice:

  • Tree layout & density (the “new map” feeling)
  • Believable foliage pass (bushes/undergrowth/ground cover) to remove that vanilla sparseness
  • Performance-first long-range visuals via optimized LOD strategy

:evergreen_tree: What’s Included?

:white_check_mark: Map-wide tree density pass

  • Forests feel like forests (not scattered props)
  • More natural silhouettes across hills, trails, and wilderness routes

:white_check_mark: Foliage scatter & ground detail

  • Added/redistributed general foliage to break up empty spaces
  • More organic roadside and off-road environments for RP, cinematics, and exploration

:white_check_mark: “Feels New” Composition

  • Rebalanced vegetation placement so familiar areas feel refreshed without losing the GTA look
  • Tree species that match the San Andreas environment

:rocket: Optimized for Real Servers

We built this to look heavier than it runs.

  • Grouped LODs so tree lines read across the map with no pop-in
  • Designed for negligible performance impact compared to typical “extra trees” style packs
  • Long-range forest presence without turning your server into a slideshow

:white_check_mark: Compatibility Notes

  • This is a vegetation overhaul; it may conflict with other resources that add/replace trees/foliage in the same areas.
  • If you have custom MLOs or maps that intersect with heavy vegetation zones, you may disable individual areas.
  • Works great alongside graphics packs. Custom tree models and textures are included.

:hammer_and_wrench: Installation

  1. Drag the resource into your resources/ folder (recommended: resources/[onx_maps]/onx_vegetation)
  2. Add to server.cfg:
    • ensure onx_vegetation or ensure [onx_maps]

Open Ymaps for removing trees if needed?

ymaps are always open with CFX encryption

How does the performance compare to Better Forest from a few years ago? Since that old version on Patreon is known for causing FPS issues for many players. How about you? Visually, it looks worlds better, but the question of performance on lower-end PCs remains.

Looks great!

how does this “improve performance” tress’s are one of the worse things to add to the server as there known for fps drops lol

overall i think this looks good dont get me wrong … but unless your pc is a spaceship command center your going to have fps drops

Yes they are open. We are also pushing an update today to remove escrow protection on the grouped LODs so they can be edited too.

We use LOD billboards for our trees to maximize performance so just moving the high LOD in the ymap will still leave the LOD behind which will need to be edited in modelling software.

However, you can disable trees in various sections of the map.

Trees are typically ones of the worst things for performance, that is mostly because the optimization step is skipped. We have taken every effort to maximize fps, not just make it look pretty.

Most creators just add the trees and put huge render distance on the highest poly models whereas, we went through the effort to make grouped LODs, meaning you render very minimal detail at a distance and you have much less enitities attempting to be processed.

Also in the reply above, we’ve gone through every effort to maximize fps, you can test it out on our showcase server too before you buy and judge for yourself: https://showcase.onx.gg

If you find any performance issues, please let us know and we’ll make efforts to improve where we can
