Title: Disregard for Consumer Rights and Appalling Treatment of a Loyal Customer
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1 star)
As a long-term and loyal customer who has spent over €16,000 with Tebex (overlay.games), I recently had an extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience that exposes serious flaws in their consumer protection policies.
I purchased a digital product (from the seller AVOJ) that did not work and did not meet its described functionality. In accordance with my legal right to a refund for a faulty product, I submitted a formal request to Tebex along with clear evidence and screen recordings that unequivocally proved the product was defective.
Instead of investigating my complaint impartially and siding with the customer, their response was completely defensive of the seller. Their communication was dismissive, and they ignored the provided evidence. Rather than solving the problem, they resorted to threats, stating they would ban me from making further purchases on my account if I persisted with my justified claim.
This is exactly what happened. I was banned from purchasing, without ever receiving a refund for the non-functional product. This means I was left both without my money and without the ability to continue using their platform as a paying customer.
This conduct is utterly unacceptable and sends a chilling message to all potential buyers:
- Sellers are allowed to market non-functional products without consequence.
- Consumer rights are ignored, and buyer protection is an illusion on this platform.
- Loyal customers are punished for asserting their lawful claims.
Tebex clearly prioritizes revenue from sellers over fair and just treatment of the customers who ultimately fund the platform.
Warning to other consumers: Be extremely cautious about where you spend your money. I strongly advise against making any purchases from the seller AVOJ. Based on this experience, I also recommend you avoid the Tebex platform entirely until they overhaul their policies and begin to respect basic customer rights. Your money is at significant risk here.
