Not able to connect to server, Error Code 7

I am new to FiveM and I’m already having an issue. My friends are playing on a certain server and I am not able to join them on a particular server.

“Failed handshake to server 104.236.199.58:30120 - Failed to connect to 104.236.199.58 port 30120: Timed out - CURL error code 7 (Couldn’t connect to server).”
The server’s ping is also displayed as “-”

GTA V version? 1.0.231.0
Up to date? Yes
Legit or Pirate copy? Legit
Steam/CD/Social Club? T.ragic
Windows version? Windows 10
Did you try to delete caches.xml and try again? No

What did you do to get this issue? Handshake Error code 7 when joining a specific server

Things I have tried so far:

  • Uninstalling FiveM
  • Disabling Windows Firewall

Please be patient.
So is this an issue you get with every server, such as the pinned servers on top of the server list, or only this one particular server you are trying to join? Can you try another server to see if the issue is localised to you?

The issue is only when connecting to this server.
