Looks like you need to startup your database service.
Unable to connect to the mysql database. Did you specify the connection string in the server.cfg? To me it seems you did not or a wrong one.
Also nice 20s hitch. Anyone got a longer one?
Lol, it does that when it first starts up and then goes away. Yeah, it says essentialmode=database.
you need to add the login information to your config file, please read the instructions carefully and perhaps ask in the original topic.
I have it set to my admin account and password.
Well regardless it isnt able to connect to your database so either its empty got the wrong ip in place or username/password is wrong.
start your database!
Also:
A) Don’t name your database MySql thats confusing as fudge
B) Don’t use root account
C) You are not allowed to have a blank password.
the database didnt work with a password so I removed it and now it opens but the server still wont load???
What are you using to run your database? Like which piece of software?
Goto http://127.0.0.1/phpmyadmin. Do you get a website?

Sorry, I’m at work at the moment but, when I was watching videos on how to set it up their was something about phpmyadmin, couchDB, HeidiSQL, and a website called Faution or something.
Yes, I get a website, but I got it working and then I signed into a new steam account for my server and it didn’t work. Even when I signed back into the previous account and it still didn’t work.
whatever username/password you used to login to your MySQL database is the one you need to put in your config.
