I’m suspecting the ‘hmpalert.dll’ (‘Hitman Pro Alert’) component of the Sophos security suite may be interfering even when scanning is disabled, and then some third-party overlay app (Steam? Discord?) is trying to inject something depending on a Windows component that’s waiting for Hitman Pro to load.
