Any idea of a good VPS for hosting . I would like it to be in Europe and I would like to have windows

Contabo is okay VPS host, we current use them and for good price as well, but i wouldnt recommend 2016 windows version use the 2012 it just like it but with less problems, also i would recommend it for huge amount of players aswell as their DDoS isnt the best of things either, but it okay for starting up community and building off of. !!!

What server should i go for for a 64 slot server
64, i would stay go to 32 slot till you gain players as it more stable and depending what your using vps i would got got 8 GB ram and 2 - 4 cores but if you plan to open more than 2 server go for the 16 GB with 6 cores, and yes it has Desktop Enviroment, you will connect up to it using something called Remote Desktop !

shouldnt be getting ddos unless your releasing your ip to the public then yes you will get attacked, beside they dont say that its protected from attacks, but you shouldnt be getting attacked unless somehow your ip is leaked.
When people joined your server your ip will leak !! they use wireshark to see to ip unless you wanna play solo on your server !!

I also use contabo. my server dies and it stops being published, people cannot enter either. it is solved restarting my ws2012, it happens to you? how often do you reset? if you can contact me by ds c4brax#9814
you dont need to use your ip, fivem have way that you use a 5/6 digit code for player to connect up to rather then leak your ip
when speaking to a customer service person at contabo they say that there is percentage where you might just be thrown onto a vps that someone has used in past for doing terrible things or that you are connect to same dedicated server as someone who using it to bitcoin mine, these are unlucky chances but to try getting away from being on same machine as them is is recommend that you buy eight core 30gb vps, this is my package and ive yet to see any issues with my vps, it is unlucky for some of us who do get this happening and for not having a DDoS Protection it ruins it, I would recommend not sharing ip, all you need to do to not share the ip is to use the cfe connection point it will appear up in console like this image

contabo is the best hoster i use a ubuntu vps with 8 cores and 30 GB of memory for only 20€ per month and ddos prot is very good
