Looking for a co-owner for a GTA 6 server!

Yep… You read that right… GTA 6.

GTA 5 and FiveM was a lot of fun for me. I will always have love for it. However, I am a little burnt out with it. With GTA 6 possibly launching as soon as late '25, I figure now is a great time to get the ball rolling on a GTA 6 server.

“Dude, thats over a year from now… not to mention the FiveM predecessor will take time to launch as well…” Thats a fair point, but the earlier I start now, the bigger head start on the competition we will have. We also have no idea if Rockstar is building its own variant of FiveM for launch. Given how successful it was, I dont think anyone here would be shocked.

Granted… obviously we dont have any GTA 6 assets or know how the game will be, so the development can only go so far until we do. With that said, there is plenty of work to be done. World building is a huge one. Graphics, Discord, website, Intergrations, discussing hosting, etc… As I said, its a lot of work if you want to do it right.

The world building can go as far as we can imagine. How will we structure the factions? How will government be structured? Pay? How are we going to keep the economy balanced? How can we avoid the RP server from turning into cops n robbers? Car tiers & pricing. Black markets? Etc… The list goes as far as our effort will.

Solidifying these now and working out all the kinks will put us ages ahead of the game. The benefit of starting this early is we can do this at our leisure as more and more information about the game gets released.

What am I looking for here? A co-owner who wants to dive into this fun and unique project with me from the start.

The person im looking for has experience either running servers in the past or is an experienced developer. This person is mature, smart and is looking for a side project to dedicate some time to, knowing it will ramp up next year. Also, if we are going to be proper co-owners, you have to be able to split costs with me.

Who am I?
Im a 28 year old Electrical Engineer with too much spare time on his hands. I have ran successful servers in the past across various games. FiveM, Rust, Dayz and Minecraft. Its been a passion of mine since I was about 15. I have a working knowledge with Python and Lua and am continuously improving my game.

If this interests you, please reach out to me on Discord: conor_one_n
Also, please include a little about yourself and your experiences.

I would like to point out, There will be no SixM, FiveM is going to be forever, that is why R* Bought it, once VI releases, the VI Engine will be moved to FiveM, and the map will be imported, similar to how we import GTAIV into FiveM, so if you have a popular fivem server / already developed FiveM server, you are set for SixM lmaoo

Would you mind linking to a source on FiveM being forever? I find it almost impossible to believe you can just “import” your FiveM server to GTA6. With all the new updates, models, animations and functions, that sounds impossible.

Sure you can keep your server community, name, etc… but you will be overhauling your entire server for sure!

the VI Engine will be moved to FiveM, and the map will be imported, similar to how we import GTAIV into FiveM

I doubt this would be the case considering the existence of LibertyM.

its insider info from a pretty trusted fivem source, its up to you to or to not believe me, I am just giving my two sense on the topic

Whoever told you that was lying to you there bud, the shere graphics and development in GTA 6 just by trailers, that just “Transfering” from fivem to GTA 6 is not something you just do, that’s why I hardly believe that. There may not be a SixM, there’s a higher chance that GTA 6 will make some kind of way online, possibly making it possible to actually host servers, which is why they bought FiveM, to make their own Roleplaying System in their Online game is what people have talked about, but the sense that you “Just transfer” can’t be further from true.

only time can tell my friend, I am just giving the info I have been told

Bump.

Still looking!

GTA VI has a completely new locomotion engine build in. So no, I don’t think FiveM will be reworked for GTA VI. Take two and R* have also patented a few things that just cannot be implemented into their old engine.
Don’t quote me on the facts here, just based on some articles I came across.

correct, the whole R* thing is why I say they will just build it into FiveM instead of creating a new platform, if R* would not of taken over, I think that they would of made a SixM and had it separate. make sense?
