40k polygons is pretty crazy, I highly advise you to look at optimizing it lol
Add-on hairs are usually around this number, I’ve seen hairstyles with even 100K polygons. Are they optimized? No. but we don’t live in 2013 anymore. This is a “is it worth it is it not” situation.

Does it support scaling? For example wearing a hat.
