So that is kinda sad if their removing real life cars, guns , sounds etc… Nobody will play fivem , driving in pdm cars? Cmon. I mean baiscally it is GTA only better. So whats the purpose? I think alot of people going to quit .

Sure, some people will quit. It’s likely freeroam and racing/drafting servers will take the biggest hit as they’re going to lose their nice cars, but also their drifting and racing maps that are ripped from other games. But the writing has been on the wall for a long time now, ever since the NFT crackdown and first clear changes to the TOS servers should have been preparing and removing branded content. When the NFT crackdown happened and they told everyone about the branded content, I removed all the IRL brands in my RedM server and replaced them with either community-named ones or parody versions of IRL brands like “Jacked Off Daniels” and “Nota Cola.” Of course, FiveM is significantly more challenging in this regard due to the nature of custom content.
But as far as the purpose of FiveM, I think it has the same purpose it always has had. A framework for people to create game modes and communities around creative ideas and goals that are unique. Now you just need more creativity and ideas, rather than relying on a bunch of brands and content you don’t own to fill up content on your server. There is thousands of poorly made, poorly optimized servers with 30GBs of oversized assets that hurt FPS. This will hopefully make communities try harder to be different and offer different gameplay loops.
I prefer the Rockstar made cars over custom made. Everyone on my server loves all lore friendly cars we owned and updated. Sure are updated cars take up space but they look great
