Is it normal to ask for money to unban people from your server?

I’ve just seen a server asking money for unbans and i’m just wondering if it’s legal, I can provide the server name and proof if needed

yes it is illegal, it is against fivem policy

Well, this server called Romania Roleplay is doing it,and they are also asking for money for literally anything,so yeah, there you go for proof, you can translate the last @everyone to romanian if you don’t belive me,it says “From now on,unbans cost 5 euros”

No it’s not against the policy. Making profit is against the terms of service.

Even though paying for unbans seems like a very weird and unprofessional way of going about it.

They also once asked for 69 euros and they gave people 69 mil dollars in game so i kinda see them wanting to make profit

If you have any proof that they do make profit (not based on assumptions or guesses) then shoot an email to pr@fivem.net.

Well they are literally asking for money to unban people so idk what else i need to send as proof to be honest, like yeah donations are donations, people donate if they want but they are asking for money to unban people

Yes, but it is allowed to ask for donations to cover the acute costs (i.e. server costs). If you have any proof that they get more donations than their acute costs, then please provide proof.

We cannot simply shutdown a server on suspicion or assumptions.

So if i,as a modder, sell cars on my server it doesn’t count as making profit unless someone looks in my paypal account or what?

People sell cars all the time wouldn’t really consider that under the fivem policy unless its in-game cars. But server owners can take money any way they want… where it starts to be a problem is where they are getting so much money that they can pay all their server payments and also have enough for their personal life which is probably why their is no profitting in the TOS.
