I wanted to inquire whether it is legally permissible to sell mappings for RedM. Does anyone have experience or knowledge about whether Rockstar Games or the developers of RedM allow this? I want to make sure that I am not violating any copyrights or terms of service. Thank you in advance for your help!

Unless it’s something Rockstar originally created and you’re just adding on their IP, and selling it, then yes it’ll be illegal. But if you’re just making a map to sell for REDM that’s your own design… that would be the stupidest thing in history for them to say it’s illegal. Lol.

Please see the https://support.rockstargames.com/articles/11374598771091/Roleplay-RP-Servers “(iv) create new games, stories, missions, or maps;”. This violates the Legal Enforcement Policy. However, since there are almost no servers that don’t have custom mappings, it’s unlikely that Rockstar will take legal action against these servers.
Digressing a bit, in my opinion, when GTA6 is released, if it includes RP features, there is a possibility that Rockstar could use this policy to force the closure of all servers with custom mappings and push for a transition to a platform operated under their own revenue model, although this possibility is remote.
