Nice work!
We’re all thinking the same thing… right?
Until FiveM supports GTA5 Enhanced this is just a tool waiting for its day
It was possible with CodeWalker but I assume since they included comments like the one below, it likely didn’t handle everything correctly even if the assets appeared to be working.
Adding my own thoughts outside this reply, I’m glad to see we’re getting official tools for this. Hopefully this leads to even more modding tools in the future so people don’t have to rely on third-party solutions anymore. Having everything centralized in one official system would be neat!
It only took a year for Zziger to make this tool
so… no asset escrow fixes? got it

Thanks for the CLI of Alchemist ![]()
When will we have access to the portal API so we can upload and download assets using GitHub Actions ?
Like that, all the process can be automatic ![]()

Nice! I can’t wait for enhanced. I want to see how far we can push the limits!
Because Rockstar Games and CFX team announced this on February 20th? Cfx.re/FiveM on X: “The just-announced free GTA V PC upgrade is coming to FiveM soon! See the forums for details: https://t.co/mR5YRpcW2h https://t.co/PIlSF0Yzq8” / X
Will this eventually convert escrowed files? I’d say a good 50% of my purchased assets are escrowed assets abandoned by their creators.
Most map makers lose their project files, so unless they crack their own files (which is still possible, I guess, since escrow is still broken), we may get stuck with a bunch of unusable assets?

Known Issues
Issue: If Alchemist GUI hits an escrowed asset it will fail and stop the process.
So basically creators of escrow files ahould upload a version of gta v enchanted version on their own and since escrow system its still not 100% secure their files will be decrypted for gta v enchanted before gta 6 ![]()
I assume creators will get a button similar to the Re-encrypt one in Portal, that will allow them to convert their assets to Enhanced using Cfx’s infrastructure. Or they could run it automatically on all assets to account for abandoned resources
Not re-encrypting wasn’t as much of an issue for abandoned resources, but running on Enhanced will be, so I hope they do it automatically.
Guess we’ll have to wait for an official response.
