Howdy folks,
I’ve tried most every fix I can see, but nothing seems to work for me. Ever since the RS social club update that created problems for a few days, anytime I open RedM I get this error(See Screenshot 1)- I can still open RedM but when I connect to a server I get an infinite loading screen. The log I receive on the infinite loading screen can be found in Screenshot 2.
If I then delete or rename the file stated above, I get an infinite loading screen again with a log that can be found in Screenshot 3. However, if I open the base RDR2 game after deleting or renaming this file I am met with an ‘Activation Error’(Screenshot 4).
As mentioned previously I have tried a number of things in various combinations to fix this, but still no luck. The following things I have tried are:
-Re-installing RDR2, and RS Launcher
-Re-installing RedM
-Clearing RedM Cache
-Clearing RS launcher profile data
-Changing Graphics setting between Vulcan and Direct X
-Changing RedM Versions
-Opening RedM on Steam
-Opening various programs on Admin mode
-Opening Programs in various orders
-Updated everything, RedM, RS launcher, RDR2, any drivers on my PC etc.
Any help, tips or potential fixes would be much appreciated.

i have the same problem, i did all the point that you tried too… The problem is just this, when i open REDM, epic games and rockstar launcher will open RDR2. If i bypass that and i can get into REDM, when i connect to the server i keep in loading screen forever
Same problem. Can get into redm just fine if I have rockstar launcher open. A friend who downloaded redm at the same time as me, has never played redm, and has only ever played rdo on pa4 got into multiple servers just fine. Searched google, searched reddit, searched the cxf discord, and nothing works.
F8 gets stuck at init_core
Deleted the entitlement folder, deleted the three cache folders
After weeks of trying different things, I have got my game to work.
I found a fix for me, this may work for others:
The main reason it wasn’t working for me was because RedM was trying to launch RDR2 through the Rockstar launcher and not the Epic Launcher. I had the epic launcher programme saved on my main, programs drive. While I had RDR2 saved on my games SSD. What I had to do was re-install the epic games launcher on my games SSD, then install RDR2 into the epic games file (see screenshot 1). From here, when I open RedM I do not have the Rockstar launcher open, only the Epic Games Launcher and Steam.
