Infinite Loading Into Server Loop Rockstar Launcher Authentication Problem (REGISTRY ISSUE MAYBE? PLS HELP)

What is the issue you’re having?

I have not been able to load into any server. I am left with an infinite loop of loading into the server. I think it has something to do with the Rockstar Launcher, but I am not entirely sure what’s happening. I am going to leave the logs for loading in with steam closed and loading in with steam open so you can see if there’s any difference.

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game multiple times, in drifferent drivers too (this has been the past 17h of my life so I did A LOT). I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the rockstar launcher. I did “launch the game with steam closed and only the launcher open”, I have done everything you can think of man. I even changed my password twice.

What server did you get this issue on?

WildRP, ProdigyRP

Additional comments

Despite what the screenshots suggest, I’ve had this copy of red dead on my steam since launch, the same account that is linked on steam is the one I have the game on and is the one the ini file is pulling from. The path is correct, the account is secure. There’s only me on it. I still get an error that steam should be running as evidenced in the screenshots, when steam is running. I don’t know what else to do man.

This started for no reason and it’s spread over to FiveM, except that on FiveM, I can’t even get the game to run, I get stuck on a loop of putting in my username, my password and the code and fiveM keeps launching the rockstar launcher at me and never opens no matter how many times I do it.

I did ask Rockstar for support and they pretty much insta closed the ticket and said it was not their problem, but not before asking for certain logs. I ran the logs through chatgpt and asked chatgpt to see if it found any issues and it did.

According to chatgpt

"From the logs you uploaded, here’s what I see:

1. Rockstar Launcher is Running Normally

  • The prelauncher.log confirms that Rockstar Launcher starts successfully from:

makefile

C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Launcher\Launcher.exe
  • The launcher.log shows no critical errors during startup.

2. No Installed Games Are Listed

  • The launcher log shows:

css

[DISPLAY] [Main ] [titlestorage] Installed titles:

But no games appear under it, meaning Rockstar Launcher doesn’t detect any installed games.

Possible Causes:
:white_check_mark: Your game might be installed in the wrong location – If RedM or FiveM can’t find the correct install path, Rockstar Launcher keeps opening to check.
:white_check_mark: Rockstar Launcher isn’t linked to the right account – If you’re using a different account than the one that owns RDR2 or GTA V, Rockstar won’t list the games.
:white_check_mark: Game files are missing or corrupt – Even if installed, Rockstar won’t recognize games if registry entries are broken."

And this response would be fine, except chatgpt did not take into consideration that when I launch the game both online version and story mode, I have absolutely no issue login into social club and playing the game. It’s only when REDM and FIVEM get launched and request that I put in my rockstar password and email that the process doesn’t work, even though the specified path on both the citizen.ini files HAS the right path. It doesn’t even recognize steam as open. And I only have one account. This stuff has never happened before in eight years of me using fiveM and never happened in the 4 years I have been using RedM either.

The path is listed, but somethow when it’s requested by the launcher it shows as if I had no games in my account.
