when i installed five m it told me to write my Rockstar username and password and all my friends installed Five m and non were asked for there rockstar username and password and i watched videos of peopke installing and non were asked for there rockstar account information . should i be worried and why did they ask me.
It’s a social club check to see if you actually own the game. Everyone has had to do this.

If you own it through Steam it doesn’t ask you. If you own it through Steam and it asks you just restart Steam and try again. Non-Steam copies require a one-time login.

Once installed it asks. if fivem was uninstall and reinstalled it doesn’t ask. Everyone has to do this. No pirates allowed.
i installed it through steam and i gave them my Rockstar account should i be worried ?

Seeing as how your info is stored on the same mainframe. No. What’s there to he worried about. You didn’t give anyone your info. Your info is stored on a rockstar server and that’s all.

Steam, rockstar warehouse, it doesn’t matter. Social club is required for any form of GTA.

It asks no matter what. No pirates allowed! That simple. Your watching tutorials. Which means they have already installed fivem and uninstalled just for the tut. Once you’ve entered your social club info once it won’t ask again.

You can request to a moderator to close this. However your friends aren’t telling the truth. Pirates cannot play fivem, therefore everyone has to prove they own the game via social club.

fivem will update on its own if there is one for it when you open fivem.
Steam also does ask for your social club account “mine is the steam version” however it only asks you once.
So in short… you are fine and its normal as you would have to sign into it to even play GTA:Online itself.
