i have port forwarded and added inbound rules and outbound rules in firewall and my friend still cant join my server. HELP. i have loacalhost.

Are you trying to open a localhost or vps server?

im trying to host of my PC and make a roleplay server so everyone can join
shuld i send you my .cfg file

On a general level, you should not start implementing a public fivem role-playing server hosted on your own computer. I would recommend zap-hosting for you.

But if you want to ignore my recommendation and do what you have planned I could recommend you this tutorial for example. In this video, a person demonstrates how to make your localhost server public for everyone.

i did all of that, port forward, … and my friend still can’t join my server. i want to localhost

What kind of error does it give when they try to join?

Did you add a port forward rule to your router settings and not just windows firewall

yes i have portfowarded my rourter

if you search you IP in Fivem does it show for you?

and did you add these 2 lines.

Set your server’s hostname

sv_hostname “YOUR SERVER NAME”

Uncomment this line if you do not want your server to be listed in the server browser.

Do not edit it if you do want your server listed.

#sv_master1 “SERVER NAME”

i had the same issue and once i added these and allowed for server heartbeat to be sent then this came live on fivem for my friend, this was also a test server homehosted

when i search my public ip it doesn’t show up and i don’t want my server to bi listed yet i want my friend to conect to me via mi ip F8/connect “server ip” but it dosnt work

when my friend tries to connect it gives him error: Failed to fetch server variables. Failed to connect to “MY IP ADDRES” port 30120: Timed out - CURL error code 28 (Timeout was reached)
