I have a question is it mandatory to use ES or ESX to open a server?
Is there an alternative?

No. ESX is just a framework. You can run a server without and build your own framework or make a menu based (vMenu for example) server and just setup some permissions, but nothing is required to run a server, aside from the server itself. ESX just adds features.
There are other frameworks out there though. ESX, vRP, FSN, for example

Do you know why everyone uses ESX?
My guess would be because there are a ton of scripts written for it, and because so many people use it, the discussion around it is robust, making it’s easier to find answers to most of the questions and problems people run into with it. Kind of a snowball effect. Probably was just one of the first solid foundations, so a lot of people used it to start their servers and it grew.

ESX is the most popular framework out there . Because it has almost everything that a RP server needs. And because of the fact that There is almost more than 400 RP scripts out there ESX will be the main option for Normal rp servers that does not have a Developer team or their dev team prefers to work on the new scripts rather than New framework.
