Im having the exact same problem and have no idea what to do
RedM red box comes up saying “getting there” then doesnt launch? anything to fix this? have tried reinstall, restart comp after.

Same issue here. RedM says “Getting there” then disappears. there are 3 processes listed in Task Manager under the Background Processes.

This is an issue with the API that validates the copy of RDR2, old copies that are already validated will still work but for now new copies will not launch. This is a change made on Rockstars end and not on Redm’s. The issue is being looked at but is seen as very difficult to fix. I got this information from CFX’s twitter and discord. Fingers crossed Rockstar reverses the change or another way is figured out.

weird, if I’m remembering correctly, I downloaded as soon as it came out on PC. But Thanks for the reply.
Yes but did you launch Redm at it’s release? I purchased Red Dead 2 when it was released but didn’t launch Redm so It doesn’t work for me. If you validated the game with Redm before this issue you should be fine, if you’re your just now trying to launch Redm it will not open. Hope that helps you understand.

I got a similar error but it says “Could not load component glue.dll - Windows error code 126”.
is this because of rockstar? if so i probably uninstalling until the reverse cause Red Dead Online is boring for me with not having more activities.
