I encounted this issue tonight after trying to connect to a server, i then tried to reinstall FiveM fresh, and had the same issue.

What worked for me,
Made sure steam was Updated,
Made sure GTA V was Updated,
Started GTA V and found it was a fresh start to the game (no save file.) so i played through the first two missions (after you return the two cars)

FiveM then installed fine…

Hope this helps you …

Didn’t work but thanks anyway

i just encountered another Curlcode 56 when trying to download an update for a server, using a VPN solved the issue this time …

That didn’t work either I think ill have to wait until they next update the game and hopefully fix it but thanks for the help
