I cannot use /giveweapon

Hello, I have recently found a problem on my server.

When I try to do /giveweapon 1 weapon_pistol 999
it doesn’t give me anything. I have tried googling a different script that gives weapons on command and just remove the original command. I found nothing though. What can I do to fix this problem?

PS. No F8 errors nor console errors

Can you explain what resources you uses cause commands like this are not coming out of the box.
