I downloaded an BMW I8. It works ingame but it needs fuel, since its declared as an “normal” car. It is a electric car in reallife tho. I wanted to know how I can turn it into a electric car. I looked through the vehicles.meta file from my tesla model s, because that is a fully electric car that need sno fuel. I changed “VFXVEHICLEINFO_CAR_GENERIC” to “VFXVEHICLEINFO_CAR_ELECTRIC” and added the flag “FLAG_IS_ELECTRIC”. It is still a car that needs fuel. What am I missing?

My guess there is no “real” electric car, even not the vanilla cars. What you can do is change the line <fPetrolTankVolume value="xxx" /> in the handling.meta to a big number, like 100000… Your fuel tank / electric charge should not deplete for a long, looong time. Simple and effective.
hey so I have Hummer EV and in our server we have gas station and charging station. however, the hummer EV is only for gas station and when I tried in charging station it says fuel type not compatible. How to change it to Ev so that I can charge it. PS: I tried using other GTA V EV cars like Cyclone and I charged it and it works. Maybe I have to change something in the script to make HUMMER EV, EV.
You need to ask whoever made the charging station script to know what it uses to check whether a vehicle is electric. Having the model flag and 1-2 gears is what would be my guess
