you need to stop the server, then edit the config file, then start it back up. If edit the files while the server is running, it will be reset to the previous state. Contact zap hosting for more info on this.

Did you mange to find a fix? Im using Zap to host my server and this kept happening to me so annoying, If you go to the resources tab on the left where you have you one click installs for esx etc make sure the auto update feature is turned off or disable force write i just turned it off though it checks the files after ever restart and replaces them hope this helps
People that are having issues with Zap Hosting resetting server name after restart or after a start then you need to ask them to turn off ‘settings overwrite’ options, I’ve almost had it with them, they add settings that dont need to be added.
But yeah I’ve had the same issue until i submitted a ticket and they turned off server settings over write, now my name stics.
