How much RAM should a fivem server need?

I might soon make a server on FiveM with 64 player slots, how much ram do you guys recommend me to get?

4 GBs will do nicely, as a rule of thumb

I would say it depends on whether you’re using Windows or linux to host the server. I’ve found 4 to be more than enough in a linux environment while it’s not enough on a Win host.

i have a server with 32gb ram, its sufficient :slightly_smiling_face:, i advice you 8 or 16gb ram

32 is overkill, but is certainly is sufficient - depends on how you look at it lol
If you have a box with just a single FXServer instance, genrally 4 or at most 6 GBs of RAM will do just fine

If you’re running a demanding RP server with lots of addon vehicles and clothing (these are what eats RAM) then 16GB is what I would recommend for a smooth experience.
This is assuming you’re also running other tasks than just the FiveM, such as your SQL database, other background applications such as backup solutions, etc.

If you’re running a straight FiveM server with nothing else (no database, no custom clothing/vehicles, etc.) on Linux you should be fine with 4GB RAM however.

How would I increase the ram that my server can use? It says we only have 1gb but my Linux box has 6gb
