How do i make money from my server?

Is there a way im able to make profit of fivem like running my server how can I make money like the Minecraft server hypixel they make over a 100k a year or something like that I was wondering how I’m able to earn money from fivem players with out violating the rules anyone got any ideas?

Get popular. and hope people donate. maybe sell advertisement. but i guess you need to be a popular server. Hypixel makes 100k a year cus of people buying ranks. and donating. dont do a fivem server cus you want money. cus that will just suck for yourself

Yeah ik im not doing it to earn money im just trying to find how to do it so i can get money from it

So i guess i can sell ranks to give u certain stuff in game like u pay x ammount of money for money in game or a car or something?

you can maybe sell ranks like VIP. where people can get priority over other players in queue. or you can sell ranks with certain amount of starting money. etc just be creative

important to not make your server pay 2 win though. cus that will suck for the people that dont spend money

TOS says you can only ask for donations. so i guess thats your best bet

You can only get donations to cover the initial cost of the server you are running. Best option is to just have a “contribute to costs” which has a maximum. For example if you cost is 60 dollars, only accept 60 dollars of payments then freeze donations. :smiley:

So then how do all the big servers make more than there money do they make it so u buy stuff with in third party stuff like discord ranks and not in game stuff i still dont understand how it works

i understand that but why do all the big servers make there money because they get more than the hosting price and they sell stuff like cars and money and pay to open gangs because ive seen that on multiple servers and from my perspective thats in violation of fivem TOS if im not wrong so ive never understood how there still running if its in violation of TOS

Yes they probably are making more money than they should, but no one can prove that and they certainly aren’t going to go email fivem telling them they are breaking the terms etc. It’s like a safeguard… Fivem says don’t do it in their terms, people do it and (rarely) action gets taken its like a law suit prevention hehe.

it takes a long time to make a credible fiveM server, maybe not after you learn it, but there is a HUGE learning curb to developing a whole server by yourself in the beginning and some people start with no coding knowledge atall. so id say your time is priceless an developers deserve every dime

Basically if they are accepting donations, and it goes directly back into the costs of running the server - as opposed to say, a profit - then its kind of a grey area as far as I can see.
