Help setting up a RP server

What did you do to get this issue? I have rented a server reccomended by fiveM but when i try to connect to server it does not allow me access
What server did you get this issue on? a rented server.

Did you try to disable/uninstall your Anti-virus?

Also add what you already tried so far.

I havnt tried anything as yet as i am not hte best with computers. If i have instructions great but besides that im not a whiz on them.

As in you can’t access the server, the server isn’t showing up, or you get an error message? If you just started your server, it can take ~15-20 minutes to show in the server list.

It shows that it is active but still doesnt allow access, i start it now and get what it tells me.

What is the exact error message? curL issue, handshake failure…?

A screenshot will help.

I go to direct connect. It starts to load then says ‘connection failed’ ‘’ couldnt load resource session manager’’

Type in your console restart sessionmanager

If you’re using game hosting I’m not sure, but try find a console on there

Now for the second issue, im using zap hosting for the server, can anyone explain how to add mods please

Go to your resources folder and add them there.

I dont see a resources folder on the site, just plugins and configs

Try using the FTP-Browser… Their UI is terrible, so I’m not sure what’s what.

Use WinSCP or filezilla, then enter your credentials on it to connect, there you can access the resources folder and add stuff from there

You can also put restart sessionmanger in your server.cfg

What? it isnt necessary since you only need to do it when you first get it, or you delete the servers cache (why youd want to do that, fuck knows)

Ok will download one now, I got onto the game now just want to add mods
